Jimmie Darrell Robinson

Mr. Jimmie (Darrell) Robinson, age 68 of North Wilkesboro, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday September 17, 2021 at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Ryan Marlow, Rev. Allen Barker and Rev. Jim Wyatt officiating.  The family will receive 9:30 to 10:30 AM prior to the service.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Darrell was born on May 28, 1953 in Iredell County to Major Connie and Rachel Souther Robinson.  He was a Deacon at Grace Baptist Church for 41 years; he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, gardening, singing and playing the harmonica.  Darrell loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a heart for spreading the gospel, passing out tracts and witnessing of the saving grace of Jesus Christ where-ever he went.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Linda Moore Robinson of the home, two daughters; Amanda Brown and husband Anthony of Union Grove, Laura Caudill and husband Dustin of North Wilkesboro, one son; Stephen Robinson and wife Amanda of Asheville, six grandchildren; Lillian Brown, Weston Brown, Roselynn Brown, Boaz Brown, James Reed and Jackson Caudill, six sisters; Janice Ball and husband Donald, Judy Robinson, Karen Eller and husband Wayne, Barbara Whittington and husband Marvin, Polly VanSickel and husband Joe, Alma Whittington and husband Tony, two brothers; Howard Robinson and wife Bernice, Douglas Robinson and wife Diane and numerous nieces and nephews.
