Jessie Pearson Obituary

Jessie Anderson Pearson, age 90, of Moravian Falls, widow of William Ace Pearson, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 19, 2026. She was surrounded with love at the time of her passing. Mrs. Pearson was born in Wilkes County on May 1, 1935, to Jessie Talmage Anderson and Omie Pennel Anderson.

Jessie was a member of Moravian Falls Methodist Church until the church closed. She then joined the Moravian Falls Baptist Church. She served on the board of Moravian Falls Cemetery and was also a board member and 20-year volunteer at the Wilkes Heritage Museum. She met her husband while attending Wilkes Central High School. She saw him while the sophomore girls were serving lunch to the football team and she fell in love immediately. They were married on October 30, 1953. Their marriage was full of love and adventures. Mr. Pearson served in the Air Force for 20 years and Jessie was the ultimate “Air Force wife.” They loved their life together and all the many friends they made throughout their moves in the Air Force. They moved back to Wilkes County after Mr. Pearson’s retirement from the Air Force so they could be closer to family. Jessie worked in the corporate offices of Lowe’s Companies until her retirement in 1998.

Mrs. Pearson is survived by her son, William Bruce Pearson of the home, son Brian Talmage Pearson and his wife, Courtney of Joplin, MO, her daughter, Ramona Gallagher and her husband Brian of Hilton Head Island, SC, and daughter April Wilcox of Wilkesboro. She also had four grandchildren, William (Jessica) Pearson of Elkin, Katie (Derek) Finney of Washington, DC, Maggie (Chris Chiang) Gallagher of Washington, DC, and Ace (Megan) Pearson of Austin, Texas. She had one bonus grandchild after her son Brian and his wife Courtney adopted their son Eli Pearson; three great grandchildren Jackson Hoffman, Lily Pearson and Andrew Finney. She had many nieces and nephews that she loved as her own.

Mrs. Pearson was preceded in death by her mother and father, her beloved husband, her three sisters and her three brothers and their spouses, and her son-in-law Jerry Wilcox.

The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers Linda Anderson, Tonya Mays, and Cecila Martin who cared for her with so much love and kindness.
