Jerry Lee Swift, age 82 of North Wilkesboro passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, July 3, 2026, at Antioch Baptist Church (Wilkesboro) with Rev. Ken Pardue and Rev. Mickey York officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Swift was born September 2, 1943, in Wilkes County to John Sullivan and Lora Call Swift. He was a truck driver for many years and was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church in Wilkesboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Gordon Odell Swift and Eugene Edward Swift, a sister; Ann S. Walker and a son; Marty Swift.
He is survived by his wife; Judy Shumate Swift of the home, two daughters; Kelly Swift of Piney Flats, TN, Diana Farmer (Kenny) of Canton, three step-children; Wayne Call of North Wilkesboro, Lisa Call of Wilkesboro, Lisa York (Mickey) of Hays, a daughter-in-law; Michelle Swift of Mt. Airy, grandchildren; Jessica Finger (Jacob) Sarah Gilman (Chris), Madison Dunber, Emily Swift and Destiny Swift, step-grandchildren; Seth Cardwell, Devin York (Ashley), Tanner York and a step-great grandson; Charlie York and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice Home for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness shown to their loved one and family during this difficult time. Your support and dedication will always be remembered with sincere appreciation.
