Mr. Jerry Grayson Parsons, age 81, of Purlear passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 15, 2026, at Purlear Baptist Church with Pastor Jamie McGuire officiating. Burial will be in Stony Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Purlear following the service.

Jerry was born on March 17, 1945, in Forsyth County to Grayson Grover and Betty Kilby Parsons.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Grayson Keith Parsons.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Johnson Parsons of the home; sons, Jerry Kevin Parsons of Tillery, Christopher Bryan Parsons (Kimberly) of Wilkesboro; grandchildren, Amanda Parsons McConnell (Will), Jerry Duane Parsons (Jessica), Kendall Cayton (Bonday), Kayla Parsons Rhoads, Haley Parsons, Kinsley Walker (William), Kendra Parsons; great-grandchildren, Barett Oakley, Jayden Cayton, Marleigh Cayton, Owen Parsons, Chamber Cayton, Eli Parsons, Rance Rhoads, Wilder Walker; sisters, Julia Dancy of North Wilkesboro and Jenny Church (Charles) of Purlear.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 9, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
