Jeffrey Keith Scroggs

Jeffrey Keith Scroggs, age 81 of Boomer passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Mission Hospital of Asheville, NC.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.

He was born on December 3, 1943 in Wilkes County. Mr. Scroggs served in the United States Marine Corps.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Lee Smithey; two sons, Bobby Steven Smithey and Robert Lee Smithey and a brother, Johnny Scroggs.

He is survived by two sons, Randy Keith Smithey and wife Ashley of Rutherfordton, NC and Michael Craig Smithey of Wilkesboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
