Jeanne (Sears) Johnson

Mrs. Jeanne Sears Johnson, age 92 of Wilkesboro, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Wilkes Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Scenic Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Dale Jennings officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.  Burial will be at Scenic Memorial Gardens.

She was born on August 2, 1932, in Waukegan, IL to James and Margaret Todd Sears.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Yaeger.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Alfred Johnson of Wilkesboro; two daughters, Lynda Herndon (Russell) of Wilkesboro and Sandra Johnson of Burlington; one son, James Johnson (Laurie) of Stockton, NJ; five grandchildren, Jackie Herndon (Eric Whitten) of Key West, FL, David Herndon of Newport, RI, Drew Herndon of Wilkesboro, Kelsey Johnson of Philadelphia, PA and Abigail Johnson of Stockton, NJ; and one great grandchild, Jude Herndon of Wilkesboro.
