Jay (John) Stringfield Obituary

Mr. Jay (John) Johnson Stringfield, age 72 of North Wilkesboro passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Jay was born August 5, 1949 in Wilkes County to Dr. Preston Calvin Stringfield, Jr. and Billie Waugh Johnson Stringfield.

Jay was a graduate of Wake Forest University receiving his degree in English. He retired from Lowe’s Companies as a Systems Analyst. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Wilkesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by a sister; Ann Stringfield of Flat Rock, two brothers; William “Bill” W. Stringfield and Preston Calvin Stringfield, III both of North Wilkesboro.
