James "Danny" Goulds

Mr. James Daniel “Danny” Goulds, age 73 of Millers Creek passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Forest Ridge Assisted Living in Jefferson. 

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Monday, December 22, 2025, at Fountain of Life Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Marc Abernathy officiating. Burial with Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 Honor Guard and North Carolina Honor Guard will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM prior to the service at the church. 

Danny was born March 23, 1952, in Wilkes County to “JD” and Juanita Eller Goulds. He was a member of Fountain of Life Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he served as a Deacon for over 30 years. Danny was a licensed electrician and alarm technician. He spent over 25 years in the banking industry, as well as served in the United States Army. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister; Katie Goulds.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Elam Goulds; a daughter, Valerie Wilks; son, Jamie Goulds (Erin) of Stony Point; four grandchildren, Destiny Schill, Chloe Wilks, Eden Goulds, Jace Goulds; two brothers, Ronnie Goulds of Claremont, Reggie Goulds (Cathy) of North Wilkesboro; and godson, Kevin Faw.
