James Lee Widener Jr.

Mr. James Lee Widener Jr., age 56 of Wilkesboro passed away Friday July 1, 2022 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist-Winston-Salem.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday July 9, 2022 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Foster officiating.

James was born on April 9, 1966 in Carroll, Maryland to James Lee and Imogene Blizzard Widener Sr.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son; James Lee Widener III; one brother Cecil Widener.

James is survived by one daughter; Katelynn Widener Greene and husband Matthew of Boomer; two sons; Ryan Evan Widener of North Wilkesboro, Tommy Ray Pruitt of Walkertown; two grandchildren; Elliott Sullivan Widener and Max Bear Greene; mother of his children; Deborah R. Widener of Millers Creek; two sisters; Rebecca Widener of Millers Creek, Jeanette Widener of Taylorsville; two brothers; Steven Widener of Taylorsville, Jimmy Wayne Widener of North Wilkesboro.
