James Steward Anderson

Mr. James Anderson, age 67, of Millers Creek passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Atrium Health – Cabarrus.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 21, 2024, at New Hope Baptist Church in Purlear with the Rev. Tom Vannoy officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.  A private burial will take place at a later date.

He was born on July 24, 1956, in Wilkes County to Steward Hubert and Ivory Dean Cooper Anderson.  James was an avid Carolina Tarheel fan, collected sports cards and loved all sports.  He especially loved his dog, Honey.

James was preceded in death by his father, Steward Hubert Anderson.

He is survived by his mother, Ivory Dean Cooper Anderson of Purlear; two aunts, Ettie Rae Huffman of Purlear and Margaret Laws of Conover; and several cousins.
