Mr. John David “J.D.” Chatham, age 78 of Union Grove, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025, at his home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Campbell and Rev. William Souther officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mr. Chatham was born July 26, 1947, in Iredell County to John W. and Ina May Bell Chatham. He was a lifetime member of Wilkes County Cruisers.
In addition to his parents, J.D. was preceded in death by a stepson, Kris R. Prevette; a sister, Kay Settle; and a brother, Curtis Chatham.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Frazier Chatham, of the home; a step-granddaughter, Laura Beth (L.B.) Prevette; a step-grandson, Jonathan Prevette (Jamie); and a step-great-grandson, William Kristopher Prevette.
