Mrs. Imogene Blackburn Greene, age 89, of Wilkesboro and Deep Gap, NC passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC.

A private family service will be held in her memory at Scenic Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.

Imogene Blackburn Greene was born April 15, 1936, in Wilkes County to Spencer Brownlow and Mary Faye Greene Blackburn. She was a devoted wife and mother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Hershel Larkin Greene, two brothers, Doyce Blackburn and Eldridge Blackburn.

She is survived by her son; Alan Greene of Wilkesboro, two brothers; Harold Blackburn of Purlear, Ray Blackburn and wife Mary of Charlotte. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family requests no food or flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
