Mr. Howard Parsons Carlton, Jr., age 68 of Wilkesboro passed away Monday, December 15, 2025, at his home. 

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Casey Walker and Chaplain Graylin Carlton officiating.  Burial with Military Honors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 will be in Scenic Memorial Gardens.  

Howard was born, February 13, 1957, in Wilkes County to Howard Parsons Carlton Sr., and Sarah Perkins Carlton.  He loved fishing, the Carolina Panthers, and gospel music. 

He addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son; Terrance Neely and a grandson; Kendron Carlton. 

He is survived by a daughter; Erica Carlton of Raleigh, grandchildren; Jaquaylin Carlton and Taye Carlton, three sisters; Kimberly Wray and husband Edward of Conover, Linda Hasan of Charlotte and Tony Howell and husband Samuel of Boomer and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
