Hazel (Burnette) Foster

Mrs. Hazel Burnette Foster, age 100, of Millers Creek, passed away Friday, December 19, 2025, at Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Fishing Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Tharpe officiating.  The body will Lie in State from 8 AM until 1:30 PM at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home the day of the service.

Mrs. Foster was born June 18, 1925, in Alexander County to the late Will and Bessie Robinette Burnette.  She enjoyed volunteering as a foster grandparent for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Taft B. Foster; daughter, Marilyn Foster Harless; five sons, David Foster, Douglas Foster, Jerry Foster, Dwight Foster, and Mark Foster; grandson, Daniel Harless; seven sisters and three brothers.

Mrs. Foster is survived by daughter, Judy Foster Taylor (Johnny) of Archdale; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
