Mrs. Hazel “Ruth” Marlow Blevins, age 86 of Moravian Falls passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Ridge Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, January 2, 2026, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Pastor Tom Moore and Rev. Richard Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 PM at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. Burial will be at Scenic Memorial Gardens.

Ruth was born March 10, 1939, in Wilkes County to Linville and Edna Tedder Marlow.  She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Ruth retired from Wilkes Community College.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Herman Lee Blevins of the home; a daughter, Janet Hayes and husband Ronnie of Hays; two sons, Gary Brewer and wife Monica, Brian Brewer and wife Brianna both of North Wilkesboro; two grandchildren, Ethan Hayes and fiancé Azura Skye, Jesseca Hayes and brother, Linville Marlow, Jr. and wife Evelyn of North Wilkesboro.
