Mrs. Halene Huffman Miller, age 84, of Millers Creek passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026, at her home. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 20, 2026, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Pastor Shannon Critcher officiating. The family will receive from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Thursday at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. 

Halene was born on November 11,1941, in Wilkes County to Edgar and Edra Mae Nichols Huffman. She was a member at Millers Creek Baptist Church. She loved to sing gospel music and make the most beautiful floral arrangements. She also loved her family and her grandson Noah very much. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Hayes and a brother, Benny Huffman. 

She is survived by her husband, Samuel Aaron Miller of the home; her daughter, Tonya Lynn Childress of Millers Creek; grandson, Noah Childress of Millers Creek; two brothers Glenn Huffman (Frances) of North Wilkesboro and Carl Huffman (Janet) of Purlear.
