Gordon Settle Chambers

Mr. Gordon Settle Chambers, age 88, of Wilkesboro, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Wilkes Senior Village Assisted Living. 

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Fishing Creek Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Wellborn officiating. Entombment will be in Fishing Creek Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the service at Fishing Creek Arbor Baptist Church Sanctuary. 

Gordon was born August 15, 1936, in Wilkes County to Buster and Bertha Love Chambers. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Patricia Delduca Chambers, three sisters; Katie Chambers, Beatrice Smithey, and Eula Chambers. 

He is survived by his daughter; Angela Chambers Peake and husband Steve of Nashville TN, two brothers; Roby Chambers and wife Jane of Wilkesboro, Gurney Chambers and wife Ann of Cullowhee, and dear friend Wanda Oakley Wilson. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
