Glenna Jean (Wood) Wood

Mrs. Glenna Jean Wood, age 91 of Hays, passed away February 4, 2025, at Wilkes Health & Rehab.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Bethany Baptist Church on Bethany Ford Road in North Wilkesboro with Pastor Daniel Shores and Pastor Michael Golden officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was born on November 30, 1933, in Wilkes County to Luther and Ruby Felts Wood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Wood and two brothers, Billy Dean Wood and J.C. Wood.

She is survived by two sons, Cecil Wood and wife Sherry of Wilkesboro, Gary Wood of North Wilkesboro; two grandchildren, Jeremy Wood (Rosanna) of Hays and Taylor Johnson (Allen) of Hays; five great grandchildren, Caelee Wood, Greyson Wood, Oaklyn Wood, Emersyn Wood, and Asher Johnson; two sisters, Patricia Wiles (Shelton) of Hays and Martha Sue Eller of Millers Creek.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, 1585 Bethany Ford Road, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659 or to the Donor’s choice.
