Mr. Glen Hendren, age 93 passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Wilkes Health and Rehabilitation Center.
A private family service will be held with burial at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born and raised on the Little Brushy Mountains, Glen was known as a barterer. He loved to buy, repair and sell everything he came across.
He spent many days riding through the back roads of Wilkes County with his wife, Ethel Poteat Hendren, who passed in 2019 after 67 years of marriage.
He will always be remembered by his children, Tommy Hendren and wife Cathy and Debbie Sloan and husband Mark. He dearly loved his grandchildren, Chris and wife Rebecca, Jeremy, Alison, Martha and husband Ethan. He was also blessed with four great grandchildren, Carter, Callum, Sophie and Davis.
