Gladys Lucille (Anderson) Nichols

Mrs. Gladys Lucille Anderson Nichols, age 92, of North Wilkesboro, passed away Monday, February 16, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

Private graveside services will be held. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Friday, February 20, 2026, at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Gladys was born on March 4, 1933, in Wilkes County to Dewey and Hessie Shew Anderson. She attended Flint Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Allen Nichols; daughter, Judy Nichols Bell; sisters, Reathie Bowers, Vecie Clonch, Lessie Richardson, Sylvia Blackburn, Dorothy Kilby, Joyce Stokes, Mary Alexander, Barbara Anderson; brothers, Dwight Anderson, Talmadge Anderson, Junior Anderson and Wade Anderson.

She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Nichols Rhoades of Wilkesboro, Rosa Nichols Kilby (Bill) of Millers Creek; grandchildren, Mindy Rhoades, Sonny Bell (Larkin) and great-grandson, Gage Bell.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Flint Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1425 Flint Hill Road, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
