Gaye Walker Obituary
Mrs. Gaye Nelle Brown Walker, age 78 of King, wife of James Walker, died on January 8, 2021 at her home.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Mountain Valley Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Scott Church officiating.
Mrs. Walker was born February 17, 1942 in Wilkes County to Roby Hobert Brown and Fannie Isabelle Vannoy Brown. She loved to crochet and craft, was very artistic, and she enjoyed giving gifts of her crocheted items. She was an incredible cook and loved the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Carol Kilby.
She is survived by one daughter, Tracy Walker Mitchell of Westfield; one son, James Barry Walker and wife, Jessica, of King; ten grandchildren, Jessica, Cameron, Alex, Mollie, Drew, Alex, Joey, Amber, Derek, and Mark; three great – grandchildren, Anita, Abby and Isiah; four sisters, Ruby Reavis, Janie Johnson, Sue Brown, and Nancy Franklin; and one brother, J.C. Brown.
