Mr. Gary Steve Kilby, 65 of Boomer, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025, at his home.

No services are planned.

Steve was born April 26, 1959, in Wilkes County to Lake Jackson and Nannie Lee Royal Kilby. He loved all things NC State basketball and Vikings football. He loved his family and his dog, Archer, dearly.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Rachel Kilby; and a brother, Barry Wayne Kilby.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Jean Triplett Kilby of the home; two sons, Paul Stephen Kilby of Boomer and Cody Ryan Kilby (Xinyao Liu Kilby) of Pineville; and three brothers, Kenneth Jackson Kilby (Kelly) of Charleston, SC, Bennie Allen Kilby (Pauline) of Millers Creek, and Brian Keith Kilby (Kimberly) of Hays.
