Gary Deal Brooks

Mr. Gary Deal Brooks, age 67 of North Wilkesboro, passed away, Sunday, August 29, 2021 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Reins Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Jim Gore and Rev. Jeff Collins officiating.  The family will receive friends 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park.

Gary was born August 3, 1954 in Wilkes County to James W. Brooks and Eleanor Deal Brooks. Gary enjoyed watching all types of sports. He also loved hunting and fishing.  Gary was an avid Bowler having bowled a high game score of 299.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary is survived by his wife, Debbie Davis Brooks of the home; four sisters, Carol Osborne, Judy Canter and spouse F.D., Becky Huffman and spouse, Ken, and Sandra Brooks all of North Wilkesboro; three brothers, Jimmy Brooks, Lewis Brooks and spouse Charlotte, and Keith Brooks of North Wilkesboro; sister in-law and brother in-law, Pat and Ray Greene of Anderson, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
