Ms. Gail Darlene Johnson McCann, age 76, of Roaring River passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist – High Point Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Rachel Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Wiles and Pastor Tim McCann officiating. Ms. McCann will lie in state at the church from 10:30 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, January 16, 2026, at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Gail was born on January 5, 1950, in Wilkes County to John A. and Ellen Mae Wood Johnson. She was also a devoted member of Rachel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Joe Kermit Johnson.

She is survived by her sons, Chris McCann (Kristin) of Morrisville, William McCann (Myra) of North Wilkesboro; grandchildren, Keegan McCann, Andrew McCann, Jacob McCann, Coy McCann, Dessie McCann, Bella McCann, Aiden McCann and sister-in-law, Lou Eva Johnson of Roaring River.
