Fonda Kay (Denny) Barber

Mrs. Fonda Kay Denny Barber, age 68 of Wilkesboro passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at her home. 

Celebration of Life services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Rickards Chapel AME Zion Methodist Church with Pastor Brent Bailey, Rev. Roy Brown Sr., and Rev. Tony Barr, officiating.  A Repast will be held at Grace Kingdom Life Ministries at 2:30 PM Saturday, April 20, 2024.

She was born on November 18, 1955, to Jesse and Lucy Maye Whittington Denny.   She loved children and her gift was being a great babysitter.  She would do anything for anybody and had a very giving heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.

Fonda is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline Barber of Georgia; two sons, Lamont Barber and wife Teixeira of Moravian Falls, and Frederick Barber of Wilkesboro; six grandchildren, Brandon, Jason, Chardonay, Alana, Alyssa and Chantelle; three sisters, Katie Barber and husband Floyd of North Wilkesboro, Marcia Shull and husband Danny of Boone, Sonny Gail Brown and husband Roy of Troutman; one brother, Mark Eric Denny and wife Tracy of Boone; and dedicated friends, Janice Johnson, Maxine Carlton and Wynema Jurich; and a host of nieces and nephews.
