Mr. Fleet Gregory Adams, Sr., age 90, of North Wilkesboro passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Wilkes Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Little Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Shumate officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:30 PM prior to the service.

Fleet was born on December 13, 1935, in Wilkes County to William Coy and Mattie Elma Gregory Adams. He was a member a Little Mountain Baptist Church. Fleet was an avid jokester and always enjoyed a good laugh. He loved dancing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Fleet was a very tidy person and took lots of pride within himself every day. He loved the Lord and is now rejoicing with him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Shumate Adams.

He is survived by his daughter, Cassandra Adams Bryant (Mark) of North Wilkesboro; his son, Fleet Gregory Adams, Jr., of Millers Creek; grandchildren, Christine Williams (Cory), Fleet Gregory Adams, III, Maygan Fender (Jordan), Ava Grace Adams, Luke Bryant, Heath Bryant; great-grandchildren, Jaylen Williams, Grayson Williams, Nolan Williams, Hank Fender, Jolie Fender, Carter Fleet Adams, Levi Bryant, and a brother, Roger “Rex” Adams of North Wilkesboro.
