Eula Mae Carlton Little, of Boomer, NC, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025.

Services will be held by Reverend Hal Greene and Reverend Robert Livingston at Little Rock Baptist Church in Boomer, NC on Saturday, December 6th at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral from 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM.  

Eula was born to Mary Jane Parsons Carlton and Claude Steele Carlton in Taplin, West Virginia, on September 26, 1937. When she was nine years old the family moved to Boomer, NC for a better life; away from the West Virginian coal mines.  Claude Carlton, her father, remained in West Virginia working in the coal mines for years, coming down to enjoy his family on the weekends and holidays.  Eula was the youngest of nine children to the couple.

She worked as a medical secretary at Blackwelder Hospital for a couple of years, before working as a medical secretary at the Pathology Department at Caldwell Memorial Hospital for 35 years. She retired as the Pathology Lab Manger.

She was an active member at Little Rock Baptist Church for 72 years. She was the church clerk for 40 years; served as a Sunday School teacher and served on many church committees. She was an active member of Boomer Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for many years and their former secretary.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Mary Jane Parsons Carlton and Claude Steele Carlton, and her brothers and sisters: Goldine Wilmouth Justus (Halcy Justus), Joe Claude Carlton (Martha Carlton, Ruby Carlton), Conley Steele Carlton (Lorraine Carlton), Eunice Kathleen Pendegrass (Curtis Pendegrass), Ruth Jeanette Hamlett (Herbertt Hamlett), Ruby Irene Sheppard (Minor Sheppard), Norma Jane Ervin, and Harold Gene Carlton (Fonnie Carlton). 

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Wayne McColum Little, and her children, Robert Wayne Little (Dana Clark Little) and Pamela Eula Little Huff (Michael Wesley Huff) and her grandchildren, Samantha Eula Huff, Payton Clark Little, and Kaylee Ruth Huff; brother-in-law, Louis Ervin, sister-in-law, Edna Carlton, and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
