Elaine (Moore) Michael

Elaine Moore Michael, age 83, of North Wilkesboro, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. 

A graveside service and burial will be private. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of North Wilkesboro with Dr. Bert Young officiating.   

Mrs. Michael was born November 29, 1941, in Wilkes County to Berlwyn and Agnes Kilby Moore. Elaine was a member of First Baptist Church of North Wilkesboro. She and her husband Bill owned and operated Wilkes Honda for over 25 years, where Elaine managed the office. 

Elaine loved her extended family, holiday decorations, pretty flowers, cousin gatherings, fresh strawberries, an occasional county ham biscuit and most everything that was pink. 

In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Michael and her sister, Ann Moore. 

She is survived by her son, Gregory Martin Michael (Melaine). She also leaves behind special cousins, Wayne & Joyce Moore, Kenneth & Linda Moore, Len & Maggie Moore, Diane & Lannie Vidrine, Carole Lovette and Melba Johnson. She will also be missed by her longtime dear friend and assistant, Cathy Foster. Elaine also has several additional cousins who were very special to her. 

The family requests no flowers. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of North Wilkesboro, P.O. Box 458, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659. 

The family wishes to express thanks and appreciation to the staff at Westwood Hills and Cardinal Hospice for their kindness and care for Mrs. Michael during declining health.
