Mrs. Edith O. Johnson Foster, age 93 of North Wilkesboro, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Karen Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Mountlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home prior to the service.    

Mrs. Foster was born October 4, 1931, in Wilkes County to Bryant and Erma Hayes Johnson. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Foster; one son, Christopher Foster; one sister, Ruby Dean Johnson Wood; and four brothers, Clint, William “Junior”, Guy, and Terry Johnson.

Mrs. Foster is survived by one son, Kenneth Foster and wife, Teresa of Wilkesboro; four sisters, Sadie Johnson Wood of Tobaccoville, Evelyn Johnson Masencup and husband, Edgar of Plymouth, Sue Johnson Kastner and husband, Jurgen of Pinnacle, and Wanda Johnson Parsons and husband, Bobby of North Wilkesboro; and one brother, Jerry Johnson and wife, Jane of Millers Creek; and many nieces and nephews.
