Mr. Douglas Linney “Doug” Hincher, age 81, of North Wilkesboro passed away Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.

Private family graveside services will be held at Mountlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Eddie Tharpe officiating.

Doug was born on September 19, 1944, in Wilkes County to Romlous Linney Hincher, Sr. and Peggy Marie Call Hincher. He was a graduate of Wilkes Central High School. Doug was a lifelong poultry and cattle producer.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Wanda H. Morrison; brother-in-law, Michael A. Morrison, Sr., and a niece, Shannon Morrison.

He is survived by his sister, Dr. Linda H. Greene of Wilkesboro; a brother, Romulus L. Hincher, Jr. and wife Kathy of North Wilkesboro; nieces and nephews, Kevin Greene of North Wilkesboro, Romlus L. Hincher, III of North Wilkesboro, Michael “Andy” Morrison of Wilkesboro, Marissa D. Gant of Mooresville, Cameron Greene of North Wilkesboro, Caroline Greene of Blacksburg, Virginia, Daxton Hincher of North Wilkesboro and Maddox Hincher of North Wilkesboro.
