It is with great sadness, that we must announce the passing of Dorthalene “Dot” Brown Yale, of Traphill, age 91, on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Dot was born on October 20, 1933, to Ernest Robert and Emma Faye Sidden Brown.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Charity United Methodist Church with Rev. Stacie Eller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
Dot was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed nothing more than talking and visiting with her family. She always enjoyed decorating her home, and planting flowers around the house. She loved to decorate and cook for the holidays. She and Jack also enjoyed traveling around the states after retirement, and she loved to talk about all they saw during their travels.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter; Susan Yale and a son; Timothy Andrew Yale.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years; Jack Carson Yale of the home, a son; Whitney Yale and wife Ellen of Charlotte, a daughter-in-law; Sheila Yale of Millers Creek, three grandchildren; Brooke Shew, Bayla Yale, Bryton Yale, a great grandchild; Olivia Shew, two sisters; Elouise Davis of High Point, Emily Mahood and husband, Tariq of Greensboro, two brothers; Ronnie Tilley and wife Linda of Trinity and Scottie Tilley of High Point.
