Mrs. Dorothy Wayne Davis, age 86 of Millers Creek, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at her home. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Pilgrim Baptist Church with Rev. Evan Moore and Rev. Rex Eldreth officiating.  Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.  

Dorothy was born January 11, 1940, in Wilkes County to Lloyd Bronard and Lilly Mae Ashley Wayne.  She was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Jerry Davis, two sisters; Glenda Wayne and Judy Ashley. 

She is survived by her daughter: Kimberly Davis Collins (Wade) of Boomer son; Jerry Shea Davis (Jenny) of Millers Creek,three grandchildren; Lindsay Collins (Karl Wallulis) of New Jersey, Heather Love (Josh) of Mulberry, Taylor Hamby of Boomer, three great grandchildren; Henry Love, Noah Love, Charlotte Pearson, and her sister; Karen Welborn of North Wilkesboro.
