Ms. Donna Johnson Bumgarner, age 66 of Millers Creek passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist-Wilkes Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 PM Friday, September 1, 2023 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Jeff Collins officiating. Burial will be in Millers Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery on Boone Trail. The family will receive friends from 12:45 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral.  

Donna was born March 24, 1957, in Wilkes County to Donald and Joan Walsh Johnson. She was a member of Millers Creek United Methodist Church. Donna retired from The Wilkes Cooperative Extension Office after working there for 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Ray Johnson and a brother, Timothy Walsh Johnson.

She is survived by a daughter, Robin Bumgarner Shumate of Wilkesboro; a grandchild, Sarah Ruth Bumgarner and her mother, Joan Walsh Johnson both of North Wilkesboro.
