Mr. Donald Hamilton Joines, age 93, of Wilkesboro passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Moravian Falls Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Sturgill officiating. Burial will be in the Moravian Falls Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM prior to the service at the church. 

Donald was born April 19, 1932, in Wilkes County to Dewey Shafter and Molly Hamilton Joines. He was a member of the United States Army and served in the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters; Peggy Joines, Mary Frances Reep, Dare Marie Joines, three brothers; Fred Joines, Robert Lewis, and Raymond Joines. 

He is survived by his wife; Betty Jo Foster Joines of the home, two sons; Ronald Leman Joines of Statesville, Timothy Brian Joines of Wilkesboro, two grandchildren; Christina Marie Joines of Hickory, Brian Hamilton Joines of Charlotte, two sisters; Lilly Laws of Statesville, Nancy Mullins of Elkin, two brothers; Michael Joines of Statesville, and Ralph Joines of Moravian Falls.
