Mrs. Dolores Zitz Steelman, age 76, of North Wilkesboro, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Michael Brinegar officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. 

Dolores was born June 15, 1949, in Monroe County, NY to John Edward and Betty Nicholson Zitz. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother; John Edward Zitz. 

She is survived by the love of her life; Johnny Bruce Steelman, two daughters; Sandra Bowman (Keith) of Holley, NY, Catherine Lawriw of Macedon, NY, two step-daughters; Monica Atkins (Michael) of Hamptonville, Nella Trivette (Jason) of Harmony, sister; Kathryn Boldger (Tom) of Irondequoit, NY, brother Frank Zitz (Robin) of Avon, NY, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. 

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Donor’s Choice.
