Mr. Derick Gambill, age 44 of Hays passed away Monday, July 14, 2025, at his home.  

Private funeral services will be held with Rev. Larry Teague and Rev.  Walter Hutchinson officiating. 

Derick was born September 19, 1980, in Wilkes County to Danny Loyd and Lennagail Severt Gambill. He was a member of Little Stone Mountain Baptist Church and a 10 plus year member of Traphill Fire Department. Derick was a loving father and loved football.

He was preceded in death by his mother; Lennagail Severt Gambill. 

He is survived by his son; Bryson Gambill, the mother of his son; Jamie Harold Gambill, father; Danny Loyd Gambill, brother; Jonathan Gambill, niece; Emma Gambill, and two nephews; Hunter Gambill and Lucas Gambill.
