Mrs. Denise Williams Saner transitioned into the eternal arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the age of 71 years old. She was born January 12, 1954 in Wilkes County to the late Joseph Williams, Sr. and Betty Louise Brown Williams.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Pastor Roger Dula officiating. Burial will be in Scenic Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Denise was an avid sewer and reader. She loved to travel with her family and friends and shop. She would always say, “I need a fresh purse”. She retired from the bank after working there for over forty years. She was a faithful member of Bibleway Church #3 where she worked on the Mother Board and as church secretary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Graves Saner, Sr.; son, Edward Saner, Jr.; daughter, Courtney Saner; and six siblings, Fred Williams, Sarah Williams, Robert Williams, Emma Jean Fox, Annie Louise Vaught, and Juliamae Williams.
She is survived by three sisters, Mary Davenport of Wilkesboro, Eva Watt (Thomas) of Crest View, FL, and Evelyn Waugh (Johnny) of Roaring River; two brothers, Joe Williams, Jr., and David Williams; and a host of nieces and nephews.
