Mrs. Pansy Delores “Dee” McGlamery Minton, age 87, of Wilkesboro, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Minton was born September 27, 1934 in Wilkes County to Albert Otto and Zelma Kelia Foster McGlamery.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Pilgrim Baptist Church with Rev. Rex Eldreth, and Rev. Mike Hamby officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Junior Minton; one daughter, Sandra Minton; six sisters, Vern Lankford, Alfretta Tulbert, Lorene Craven, Vada Waters, Faye Kilby, and Hester Gregory; and two brothers Coy McGlamery, and Elton McGlamery.

Delores is survived by one daughter, Barbara Melton and husband, Barry of Millers Creek; two sons, Joel K. “Joey”  Minton and wife Angela of Purlear, and Anthony Minton and wife Rebecca of Wilkesboro; five grandchildren, Jason Minton, Jessica Heffren, Tiffany Caudill, Brandon Melton, and Beth Anne Minton; nine great grandchildren, Will Caudill, Connor Caudill, Maddie Caudill, Avery Melton, Rylan Melton, Little John Heffren, Jameson Heffren, Haleigh Minton, and Hunter Minton; three sisters, Betty Lou Gregory, Wilma Waddell, and Kaye Lovette.
