Ms. Deborah Ann Bratton, age 60 of Moravian Falls, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at her home.
Debbie was born on May 29, 1960 to Nancy J. Rupert and Mark H. Bratton, III. After her parents’ divorce and when Debbie was 7 years old, Nancy J. Rupert married Fred L. Hall and they raised their children together.
Debbie is preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Bratton; a half-brother, Larry Hall; a half-sister, Marsha Hall; her beloved Pop (Fred Hall); and a son, Shawn Clawson.
Those left to remember Debbie are her mother, Nancy Hall (North Wilkesboro); her son, Christopher Clawson (Delaware) and his family as well as many extended family members and friends.
Debbie was a friend to many, a surrogate parent to others, but everyone knew she was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She served in the United States Air Force as a young adult, and has worked for the last decade as a Correctional Officer in Alexander County and North Wilkesboro.
Debbie attended Fountain of Life Pentecostal Holiness Church and was never happier than when she was worshiping God with her church family or enjoying the annual church picnic together. She loved playing guitar and singing with the choir.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 6:00 PM at Fountain of Life Pentecostal Holiness Church at 2512 Brushy Mountain Road, Wilkesboro, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Fountain of Life PHC Home Missions Fund, 2512 Brushy Mountain Road, Wilkesboro, NC 28697.
