Darrell Maurice Johnson

Mr. Darrell Maurice Johnson, age 62 of North Wilkesboro passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at his home. 

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Scenic Memorial Garden Cemetery with Rev. Casey Walker officiating.  There will be a public viewing on Friday from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson was born August 14, 1958 in McDowell County, WV to Alstrelia Johnson. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, two brothers; Calvin Johnson and Billy Johnson and a sister; Charlotte Johnson. 

He is survived by a daughter; Takieah Flax and husband Gregory of Charlotte, three grandchildren; Kazden Johnson, Kara Eller and Tre’ Flax, three sisters; LaTonya Johnson and Mark of North Wilkesboro, Kimberly Johnson of Wilkesboro, Drema Comer and husband Ray of Clarksville, TN, five brothers; Larry Barnes and wife Carol of Roaring River, Norman Johnson and wife Jamie of Wilkesboro, William Johnson of North Wilkesboro, Christopher Johnson and wife Shawn of Mt. Airy, Aaron Johnson of Queens, NY and a host of other relatives and friends. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA  22312.
