Obituary
Mr. Danny Ray Whitley, age 59 of Ferguson passed away at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Ferguson with Rev. Michael Johnson and Pastor Leonard Yonce officiating. Bural with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 Honor Guard will be in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:15 to 1:45PM prior to the service.
Danny was born September 18, 1962 in Henderson, TN to J.L. Whitley and Virginia Faye Brewer Whitley. He loved to ride his Harley-Davidson, being a mentor to his son, loved the outdoors and deer hunting.
He was preceded in death by his father; J.L. Whitley, and one brother; Donald Whitley.
He is survived by his wife; Marie Eller Whitley of Ferguson, one son; Danny Paul Lee Whitley of Ferguson and girlfriend Natalie Lynn Treadaway of North Wilkesboro, his mother; Virginia Faye Brewer Whitley of Lenoir, one sister; Teresa Darlene Walker and husband Gary of Granite Falls, one brother; Larry Wayne Whitley of Lenoir, five nieces; Amanda, Ellen, Trina, Shelly and Diane, five Nephews; Brandon, Joe, Josh, Shawn and Tommy.
