Cynthia Lea Triplette Staley, 67, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 24, at her home. In her last moments, she was surrounded by her family with love, fellowship and singing of hymns. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Millers Creek Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 29 at 10 AM with Rev. Shannon Critcher and Rev. Jim Gore officiating. Family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall after the service.
Cynthia was born November 13, 1957, in Caldwell County, NC to Roy and Reba Triplette. She was a member and faithful servant at Millers Creek Baptist Church where she spent nearly 35 years playing the organ, piano and singing in the choir. She served as interim music director on multiple occasions and spent many years leading children’s messages, children’s choirs and pageants. She loved family and was most proud of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Michael Steven Staley, son Devin Staley and wife Sallie of Wilkesboro, and daughter Lauren Staley Stone and husband Lee of Millers Creek, six grandchildren; Drake Staley, Colt Staley, Willow Stone, Kaylee Stone, Enoch Stone and Katline Stone, four sisters; Joan Church and husband Terry of Wilkesboro, Phyllis Pegram and husband Roy of Statesville, Pam Stanley and husband Ralph of Lewisville, and Donna Eads and husband Larry of Wilkesboro, two brothers; Harold Triplette and wife Donna of North Wilkesboro and Daryl Triplette and wife Crissy of North Wilkesboro, and eighteen nieces and nephews.
