Cynthia Cannoy Hayes

Cynthia Cannoy Hayes, age 66 of Lincolnton, NC formerly of Wilkes County passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, at Boger City Assisted Living in Lincolnton.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Mountlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Steve Robinson officiating.

Cindy was born on January 13, 1958, in Wilkes County to Dr. William C. Hayes, Sr. and Helen Lois Cannoy Hayes.  She was a graduate of Appalachian State University.  Cindy knew and proclaimed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving her are her three brothers, Dr. William “Bill” Hayes Jr. and wife Carol of Gastonia, Dr. John Charles Hayes and wife Patty of Oak Island, NC and Randy Hayes of Wilkesboro. 

The family extends appreciation to the director and staff at TLC in Rutherfordton, NC for their love and care during Cindy’s residence there.  We also thank VIA Health Partners for their Hospice care.  Thank you everyone at Boger City Assisted Living and friend Kaylee for blessing Cindy with her last and best five years.  She loved you all dearly.
