Cranford Lee Wagoner

Mr. Cranford Lee Wagoner, age 76 of McGrady passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist-Wilkes Medical Center. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 18, 2022 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel.   Burial will be in Union Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in McGrady.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. 

Mr. Wagoner was born September 15, 1945 in Alleghany County to John Quency and Sara Jane Pike Wagoner.  He was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church. Cranford was a mechanic and loved working on cars and woodworking.  He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Margie Wagoner, a son; Marvin Hobert Wagoner, grandson; J.R. Wayne Stamper, two sisters; Edna Mae Wagoner, Bertha Taylor and two brothers; Albert Wagoner and Willard Wagoner. 

He is survived by a son; Jimmy Wagoner and wife Tammy of North Wilkesboro, a grandson; Gary Stamper and wife Amanda of North Wilkesboro, five great grandchildren; Starr Marie Morrison, Abagail Grace Luvina Simpson, Katherine Lynn Simpson, Jacob Wayne Stamper, Brantley Wade Stamper and a sister; Susie Fender of Sparta.
