Clyde Eugene McGee

Mr. Clyde Eugene McGee, age 84 of Ferguson, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026, at his home.

A private graveside service will be held.

Mr. McGee was born December 7, 1941, in Wilkes County to Gerald Harold and Estelle Church McGee.  He loved forestry and the outdoors.  He spent his time taking long walks, gardening and fishing. His greatest love was family and spending time with them.  He was a faithful member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Edwin H. McGee.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda Ann Church McGee, of the home; daughter, Renee Richardson (Mark) of Ferguson; son, Reggie Welborn (Chasity) of Tobaccoville; grandchildren, Timmy Richardson (Kelly), Colby Welborn, Tanner Welborn, Micah Welborn, Zach Welborn, Tate Welborn, Lilly Welborn; great-grandchildren, Stockton Richardson, Lillie Richardson, Conner Richardson, Corbitt Richardson, Hattie Richardson; and brother, David F. McGee (Martha) of Ferguson.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, 239 Champion Mount Pleasant Road, Wilkesboro NC 28697.
