Mr. Clifford Whittington, age 83 of Wilkesboro passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at his home.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Ambrose Roberts Family Cemetery with Rev. Jamie McGuire officiating.
Clifford was born on August 11, 1939 in Wilkes County to Thurmond and Cora Roberts Whittington.
Clifford was a retired West Virginia coal miner with 28 ½ years of service. He enjoyed turkey hunting, camping and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son; Rex Randall Whittington, one sister and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Sue Huffman Whittington of the home; a daughter; Mary Neal of North Wilkesboro, three grandchildren; Jessica Neal, Justin Neal, Natasha Frazier, two great grandchildren; Micah Frazier, Jett Neal and furbaby; Sugar.
