Mr. Claude Allen Roberts, age 82 of Hamptonville passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at SECU Hospice Home in Yadkinville.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Union Baptist Church Cemetery on Union Baptist Church Road with Pastor Kenny Pardue and Rev. Bert Mathis officiating.
Mr. Roberts was born July 13, 1938 in Wilkes County to Claude Preston and Necie Mae Johnson Roberts. He was a member of the Woodman of the World. He restored old cars, loved to play the guitar, enjoyed gardening and “keeping tabs on Benjamin”. He was a member of Union Baptist Church, loved his family and he was a jokester.
He was preceded in death by parents.
He is survived by his wife; Carol Swaim Roberts of the home, a daughter; Dedra Chambers and husband Scott of Millers Creek, a son; Benjamin Roberts and wife Lisa of Jonesville, four grandchildren; Tyler Little and Amber, Tanner Little, Corey Roberts, Jake Roberts.
