Mr. Christopher John Hardwick, age 63 of Purlear passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist-Winston-Salem.

Chris was born December 26, 1959, in Owosso, MI to James Alfred and Betty Jean Curtis Hardwick.  He was a member of The Gathering Church.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, September 14, 2023, at The Gathering Church in Moravian Falls with Rev. Dr. David White officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM at the church prior to the service.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Schultz Hardwick of the home; two sons, Noah Hardwick and wife Amanda and Josiah Hardwick, all of Maui, HI; seven grandchildren, Noelle, Liberty, Amaya Hardwick, Maeelah Wilson, Holland and Hunter Beebe and Akhaos Hardwick; three sisters, Susan Smith and husband Roger of Charlotte, Sandy Bremer of High Point and Becky Rubelman and husband Mike of West Olive, MI; and one brother, James Hardwick and wife Laurie of Owosso, MI.

The family request no flowers, but memorials be made to The Gathering Church, 976 W Meadow Pkwy, Moravian Falls, NC 28654 or Samaritan’s Purse Ministries Maui Relief Fund, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC  28607
