Cecilia "Lynne" Stanley

Mrs. Cecilia “Lynne” Stanley, age 68, of North Wilkesboro passed away Friday, September 12, 2025, at her home. 

Born on July 4, 1957, in Wilkes County, she was the daughter of the late Francis Donald and Betty Jane Kern Foster.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Stanley; her sister, Kathy Foster; and her brother, Frankie Foster. 

Lynne is survived by her daughter, Brandie Paddyfoot and her husband Jamaine, of Virginia Beach, VA; her son, Rickey Mullis, Jr. and his wife, Jill, of Jonesborough, TN; and three grandchildren who brought her great joy – Justin Paddyfoot, Colton Mullis and Trey Paddyfoot.  She is also survived by her brother, Jerome Foster of Jacksonville, NC. 

A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and wife, Lynne was known for her strong spirit and her love for her family.  She was a feisty matriarch who cherished the simple pleasures in life – whether it was playing solitaire, reading her Bible, or spending precious moments with her loved ones.  Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she will be deeply missed by them, her family, and the community of North Wilkesboro. 

A private family service will take place at a later date in Appalachia, Virginia.
