Catherine Eller Obituary

Mrs. Catherine McNeil Eller, age 93 of Ferguson, widow of E.C. Eller, Jr., died on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the home of her son.

Private family graveside services will be held at Elk Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Eller was born July 28, 1927 in Wilkes County to Franklin McNeil and Paralee Triplett McNeil. She was a member of Elk Baptist Church. She had a love for cooking and gardening and enjoyed visiting elderly and shut-ins in the community and nursing homes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E.C. Eller, Jr.; one son, David Lee Eller; one granddaughter, Jennifer Dawn Eller; one great-grandson, Lawton Asher Layne; two sisters, Shirley Johnson and Dean Hyatt; and three brothers, Nike McNeil, Ike McNeil, and Ken McNeil; and daughter-in-law Debbie Jordan Eller.

She is survived by one daughter, Joy Bracken and husband, Charles, of Mooresville; four sons, Vernon Eller, and wife, Sharon of Ferguson, Bruce Eller and wife, Jane, of North Wilkesboro, Mark Eller and wife, Lisa, of Ferguson, and Micah Eller and wife, Bonnie, of Ferguson; Eleven grandchildren, Maurice Eller and wife, Sharon, Tamara Lakey and husband, Chris, Chad Eller, Shane Eller, and wife, Alicia, Catherine Barnes and husband, Justin, Victoria Bracken, Hannah Mull and husband, Logan, Chastin Layne and husband, Matt, Holden Eller, Shanna Matherly and husband, Ethan, and Hunter Eller; nine great-grandchildren, Sara Caudill and husband, Jake, Rachel Byrd and husband, Lance, Rebekah Lakey, Nick Eller, Kyle Eller, Braylen Mull, Camlee Mull, Dawson Layne, and Tucker Matherly; two great-great-grandchildren, Jaylee Caudill, Lilly Caudill; five sisters, Elizabeth Marley, Judy Church, Stena Payne, Jeanette Edmiston, Rebecca Hamby; and four brothers, Charles McNeil, Tom McNeil, Andrew McNeil, and Henry McNeil.
